BJS tone bars

Post by Gary Cooper »

Who is selling BJS tone bars? Just about everything listed on the BJS website is 'out-of-stock.' I read where the company was moving, did they go out of business?

Me too! Butch hooked me up w/2 bars, right before the Dallas show. Email him, tell you what you need. He'll get back to you and fix you up! His website may not be completely updated...but I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. :D

The Bar!!!

Post by Bill L. Wilson »

I bought a new 15/16's BJS Bar from Butch, at the Dallas Show, and I couldn't be Happier. I've played with a 7/8's BJS, the last few yrs. but decided on a bigger bar. Butch is a Great Guy to deal with, and his shop according to him, is set up and going. I really believe these bars have improved my playing, and inspire me to practice more. My take on these bars is,"Get a Bar, and Get Better".

Hello Gary and all interested. You ask a fair question so let me take a minute to give a quick update.

BJS Bars is not out of business nor will we be going out of business. The website is not up-to-date with what is available or what is not. Therefore, I have asked that you call before ordering. By the same token, if you are needing a bar that says out of stock, please call... it could be available, or if it says in stock, it might not be available. Until inventories are at an adequate level, I will probably leave the website as is, and ask that you call. But if you need a bar, call or send me an email and we can go from there.

The shop is finished and I am back building bars. However, family responsibilities have made it a little difficult to get back on track. My wife and I moved so we could care for her parents. Her dad is 90 and has Alzheimer's. While Deb is working a full time job, I am the primary care giver. Those of you familiar with the disease know how physically and emotionally demanding this can be. And it only worsens as the disease progresses.

I can assure you that BJS is not going out of business. We are going through a bit of a rough patch at this time. I have bars in the making and will be finishing them up as soon as possible. I do appreciate your patience and understanding in this. If you are needing a bar, give me a call or send an email. I could have it. If not, I'll do my best to track those request and fill them. If you think I have forgotten, don't hesitate to remind me.

Thanks to all of you who use and endorse BJS Bars. I know you mean what you say, and that gives me great pleasure.

Thanks Butch for everything. Family comes first and we all understand that.

Anything good is worth waiting for. In my humble opinion these are the best bars I have ever used and that is why I am also waiting.

Just got the BJS bar I talked upthread about having ordered.I want to say a public thanks to Butch for a great-feeling great-sounding bar.I bonded with it immediately.OK,specifically it's a 7/8" 12 string bar,a little lighter than one I'd earlier gotten from SGN,and a little faster and smoother on the strings.Anybody who's played a BJS bar knows how nice they are,and anybody who hasn't played one has got a treat coming. Thanks again,Butch! :D :D
