What a fantastic player Austin is. He also has come out of that shyness and will just visit with everyone. You have a right to be proud of him. It is encouraging to see someone you ng playing steel and especially at the level he plays at. |

I've enjoyed watching him grow into a young man and watching him grow musically. I loved Mickey Adams comment at the start of his set. "I come here to see what licks I can steal from Austin" |

I know a lot of steel players and none of them would say that I'm the best steel player they ever heard. But I can say without a doubt, Austin is the best steel player I've ever heard! And one of the nicest young men you'll ever know! I'm amazed at his knowledge of many things and the deep appreciation and love for his heavenly Father as well as his parents and grandparents! He realizes his priorities and he knows how to choose which is first, second, etc! This is a young man that I'm thankful that he knows me every time he sees me! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

I couldn't agree more about Austin's terrific playing and warm personality . He took the time to go into detail about how he "wants me to pick block" . I sure appreciate the help Austin . Tony Tipton |

Austin,
Congratulations on your "13th" Anniversary. (You're only 40 years behind me but catching up!)
I very much appreciate our friendship and love you and your folks like my own family. You come from "good stock" and it shows.
And, you're a pretty good picker! But, can you learn to do it with your shoes/boots on? Only time will tell.
Congrats again my brother. |

Wow !! how time flies. I was on stage when Austin played his first steel show. I knew then that I was listening to what would be a great steel player. He had it all at six years of age. Over the years he has become family to me and Barbara. I agree with Tommy Dodd "he comes from good stock". His family are wonderful people and again they are like family to us. Austin is a super young Christian man with very high morals and as many of us can attest to, a great steel guitarist. After thirteen years of trying to get him to talk to those in attendance, much to my surprise, we heard him "sing" a great gospel song and he made it look just as easy as playing his steel guitar. Barbara and I are proud to be his friend and a friend of his family.
We love you Austin,
