Hello, Ive got a gig, my first "steel guitar" gig on Monday.Until funds permit , I have to use this amp, my Tele amp for my steel.
Does anyone have any suggestions as far as settings on this amp with my steel?
I hate to ask, because you spent the time to figure it out.
Ive had it for 8 weeks now,& am still a full blown NEWBIE,as far as playing ability.
I haven't even considered the amp settings.All I know is, if it's on and is making a sound
, then I'm good to go.

Jeff,
Tommy White was using one of these some time back; he claimed that this was a great amp and used it on the Opry.
I think Tommy White gets on the forum every now and then; maybe you can put a thread on the forum. If he see's it surely he will answer your question about the setting.

i used one on the rehearsals at my bandmates home. it sounds indeed very nice.
on a fender tube amp you have to turn up the bass pretty much and be careful with the treble or it can get too piercing.

I have the same amp. Here are my suggestions:
0. Use the Normal channel, not Overdrive Channel (for a clean steel sound)
1. Don't use the bright switch
2. Don't use any presence, or very little
3. Boost the bass to 7 or all the way
4. Middle to half or 3/4
5. Treble 2-5 (season for taste!)
6. Reverb 2-4

Fender built these amps and there are several variations with slightly different tone circuitry for each. But in general, what I described above might be a good place to start and then tweak from there.
