This is Herb Steiner from a not too old thread from 2012 and I'm wondering if he ever finished that instruction course or cd that was mentioned in that thread.
Great playing Herb Steiner! Maestro at the jazz. Also enjoyed that old Miles Davis tune, "Freddie Freeloader." Were your feet keeping rhythm or are you searching for pedals? Hey Herb, what lap steel is that?

Thanks for the plug!![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Yes, as my pal Tom mentioned, I was playing an S-8 Allison steel on that show. C6 tuning, D note on s.1. The whole concert, about 40 minutes long, is on YouTube in 3 or 4 sections. Forumite Stephen Cowell was the videographer.
I was simply tapping my feet. If you look closely, my right foot was in a surgical cast as I had sustained a Lisfranc fracture of my right foot in a car wreck about a month prior to the concert.
Thanks for the plug!

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
