This is basically a brand new guitar. It is mid 70s, square front, gumby head, wide pedals, two hole pullers, dust catcher fret boards. 3X4.
Emmons set up. E's on the left. RKL raises 1 a half to G and lowers 6 a full to F#. RKR has half stop feel and lowers 2 to C# and 9 to D.
It was born 3X1 and 3 additional knee levers have been added (all parts sho bud correct from James Moorehead).
It is incredibly clean. There are 7 small bar dings on the back rest. That's it. They are so small that they you can't see them in the photos...
Otherwise, it's as close to walking into the Sho Bud store in Nashville in 1975 and buying a brand new guitar as anyone is ever going to get. The case is in excellent shape as well, though the center divider has one part that is splintered a bit (on the lower left in the pic).
The pics really don't do it justice...
You will not see a cleaner ORIGINAL CONDITION single neck Sho Bud.
$1995 plus shipping.

Sho Bud
You know how I love these Lacquer Sho Buds, well this one was inspected by D MARRS, in other words Dwayne built it, IMHO that makes this guitar worth another bunch of dollars, who knows how much?? Anyway this is a rare find. I love Red!!

The point is this Abe: Terms and precise language matters, on this forum or anywhere else. Mint means mint. Your guitar while very nice, and NEAR mint, is not as described. I believe that loose or uninformed talk about condition serves no one well, and undermines any forum, seller, or buy and sell venue.

John,
I bought the guitar and I define mint as not brand new, but in very new condition. I wasn't expecting a PERFECT BRAND NEW guitar built in 1975. Who would?
Originally, the phrase related to the way collectors described the condition of coins. These aren't coins. I translated his language just fine and I'm excited for the guitar.

Evan congrats on a very nice guitar at a good price.
However, you miss the point (my only point): Assigning subjective, arbitrary, or self serving meaning to otherwise standardized definitions renders those definitions meaningless.
Of course we could all just make stuff up as we go, and consider ourselves experts. How comfortable and easy.
Nice axe tho, enjoy it, and have fun.

John - this isn't ebay and there are, as far as I can tell, no strict definitions set here on the forum. Your definitions are no more valid than mine. I tried to describe the guitar as to the best of my knowledge. I described the few flaws it has. I've been told by more than one person that I could have asked for and gotten more than I did, but I felt like this is a fair price for a guitar that would be very hard to replace. Everyone that is actually involved in this sale is happy.

Definitions and terms I use are the accepted standard for the used and vintage instrument industry, and as such are 100% valid and widely used. There is no parity, sorry you are 100% dead wrong.
