The LED lights up and shows songs are playing but getting nothing from output. Any suggestions what might be causing this?

Did it ever work before ?

Be sure you are using the proper L+R audio outputs, the master fader is UP .

Take one of the audio outputs and send it to your guitar amp as a test.

Shouldn't be difficult but without being there it would be easy to miss a very simple thing.

Yes Tony. Worked fine for a long time without problems with output. Sound through headphones ok but a little scratchy sounding. I just obtained circuit diagram of the unit and can read circuit diagrams at a very basic level. Just wondering if I should start checking inside and looking at the wiring of sockets 1st.

before opening it up I would run the output(s) to your Steel/guitar amp.

I can play Audio CDs and can use headphones or RCA out to amp and have no problems with quality of sound or volume. However get nothing from recorded tracks thru headphones or audio out.

Billy, sadly without seeing the unit in front of me it would be near impossible to diagnose.

Wish I could help more..

It's time for a technician to looka at it.

Best to you
