My new/old ZUM

Post by Uffe Edefuhr »

I have just bought me and new old ZUM s-10. Made 1978 number S103333. Light Braun color!!! How much can an old guitar fade in color? I am goin to renovate it and guess how surprised I was when I took of the neck on it? I was told that this was the first ZUM that was sold to Europé? Maybe it's true?

I talked to Mr. Bruce Zumsteg yesterday and he told me that this Little steel guitar was the first ZUM that was exported to Europé! Made me very happy! It is now under surgery, both the alu parts and the Wood part! Mr Zumsteg got me on other thoughts about the Wood work, I have sent the cabinet to one of my Brothers for the work on it, my brother is a pedantic furniture carpenter! Nice with good help from him!
Thanks Bruce for all info that you gave me about the guitar. Pictures when it is finished will be showed here on the forum!
