**C6 Class Saturday AM at Phoenix Steel Guitar Show**

Post by Larry Toliver »

Hello Fellow Steelers,
Just a quick note to let y'all know about the C6 Seminar at the SouthWestern Steel Guitar Show in Phoenix. It will be geared toward beginners and intermediate players, and probably slightly more toward intermediate skills. The class will begin at 9am Saturday morning and run til noon. Bring your steel, seat, and be able to use headphones so we don't have to hear everybody playing at the same time. We'll touch on chords, major, minor, 6th, 7th, augmented, diminished, Major 7th, etc and have plenty of tabbed examples. I will have a few songs for you to learn that are popular on the C6 neck. We'll also touch on some techniques, grips, some good scales, some common fills, intro's, endings, and a few hot licks. We will provide you a notebook, with tabs, chords, licks, songs, backing cd's, etc. I will be very generous with the stuff you receive in your notebook. Please bring your phone or camera if you'd like to record video stuff you want to remember and save to go back and study. The cost is only 30 bucks, with 5 bucks of each students registration going back as donation to the Phoenix Show. I'd love for you to come out and let's get together and get some good C6th stuff. You can let me know here on this post if you'd like to attend, or Denny Beaver is also taking signups for the class as well. Please let me know as soon as possible so I'll know how many notebooks & setups to prepare for.
Looking forward to meeting y'all there!

Larry, is there any room in the class? Do we bring our steels w/ headphones?

First of all,
Thanks Billy for having me back again.

Tom,
Yes...bring your steel, your steel seat, and either your amp w/ headphones, or a headphone amp which plugs directly into your steel. Tom, I think there are only 3 students signed up now...so yes, we can hold about 12 students. Please let me know so I can prepare notebooks and supplies correctly, and call if you'd like. This is one you probably don't want to miss. Larry's a great teacher and has the unique ability to accommodate players of all skill levels. I'll be at this seminar. Can I put in a request for "Heart of a Clown?"

You will be a welcome addition to the class Bob, and I look forward to seeing you again, and yes....I'll tab out Heart Of A Clown, Curtis Potter style with the Emmons Solo in it.

Well, I had one of the best experiences at the steel show in Phoenix that I've ever had. We had 14 in attendance for the C6th seminar and they ranged from California to the Carolinas and even Canada. A big thank you to Billy, Joe, and Denny for all of the support and help. See yall next year.
