I'll say! I paid $160 for one when they first came out, and that was the best price I could find anywhere. It was so light that when I got it, I thought for sure they had sent me an empty box!  |

Funny thing. After I broke it in with some various sine waves at about 30 watts, it started having some bass response.
I laid it on the floor open next to my Weber 12" Cali Ceramic with aluminum cone(also open on the floor) , which I thought was a pretty bright speaker.
The new one is even brighter, and seems not to have quite the low end.
Maybe the low end will come in as it breaks in more…
Or maybe the right cabinet will tame it.
It is definitely more efficient. Right now the highs feel kind of harsh.
My friend put these in a bandmaster cabinet and he likes them a lot.
He plays a rickenbacher 360 and he loves the high end jangle they give. |

You can't judge a speaker's low end without a cabinet... the low waves just go around the edge and cancel out. Even mounted in a cardboard box is better than an unmounted raw speaker.

Ok that's reassuring. I'll check it again when I've set it up in a cabinet.
Anyway, it sounds like the specs look - bright and loud so far. And it hardly weighs anything... |

Do you think they would work in a NV 112 amp? Rated at 60 watts. Might not cut it.

I only have and use tube amps, so I wouldn't be sure
about NV 112.

These are on sale again. Same price but an extra discount for another day.
I put mine in a cabinet and my concerns about the low end were solved. Sounds fine. Very present sound. Very clear and uncolored.

If the NV112 is 4 ohms that's even better.
Get TWO of these and put them in parallel.
That's give you 4 Ohms and 120 Watts of power..
Twice the speakers = twice the fun....
