Randy Beavers - Georgia Peach Jamboree XXI - Feb 9th

Post by Donna Dodd »

Mark your calendars, folks, and come out to see Randy Beavers grace the stage of Georgia Peach Jamboree XXI on Sunday, February 9, 2014, benefiting the Shriners Childrens Hospitals

Randy will be back on the road with Lee Ann Womack this Spring, so we are fortunate to find him with some rare time to do a steel show! Welcome back, Randy!! We are excited to have you as our headliner!

We have an incredible back-up band with Johnny Thomas on guitar; Bob Strickland, guitar; Wayne Smith, bass guitar; Johnny Basler, drums; and
Kenny Head on piano.

We'll post a list of additional players as soon as they are confirmed.

It'll be a fun day with great music and fellowship, so stay tuned to this post, or visit our website at www.georgiasteelguitar.com for additional details and links to Randy Beavers interviews and videos of him playing Steel and Dobro.

Yep Donna,
This is going to be a great show. It is great that we will have Randy with us. It has been several years since he has played a steel guitar show, so I know he is chomping at the bits to grace our stage.

We will also have, Don & Jan Jones (for the first time), Thon & Angela Standridge (for the first time), Dr. Bob Strum, Bill Nicholson, John Swain, Steve Geis, Tommy Dodd and myself.

We have a great facility, provided by the Conyers, GA VFW.

So come on down. We would love to see you.

Please plan to come out and join us as we raise some money for the Shriners' hospital and have a fun filled day of music and fellowship. I am really looking forward to hearing Randy. It's been too long since he has played a steel show.

You guys are lucky. The psga had Randy play at our show for a few years a few years back.

He is one of my favorite players and have been listening to his CDs lately.

Enjoy the show, it should be awesome!
Regards, Craig

Donna,
What time is Randy scheduled to play?

It's about 9 hrs driving from where I live to the show. I want to make plans.

Thanks,

Looking forward to the second Sunday in February. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing Randy again. Such a great player and a nice guy. I sit and listen to his CD's and amazed at what he plays. I met Randy through Russ Hicks another fine player. I hope you all will be able to come and support all the players that Bill has listed. It is going to be a fine day of of music.
We thank you for the support of the Shriners Hospitals. Without your support we would not be able to provide the care the children need.
