1953 fender D8 professional console steel $1350
$1350......shipping negotiated. Probably a 1953, the pickups have been re magnetized and it sounds GREAT!
I love the steel, just have too many bills.

Pretty Nice ONe
If that's not too dinged up, it should sell fast.

I recognize that Dual Pro as the one that I owned not long ago. I took those pictures in our living room.
It is in great shape. I had Rick Aiello re-mag the pickups, which are original and very strong right at 10 ohms each.
The year as I recall when I had the pans off is a 53.
I lubricated the tuners which are in great shape, while I had the pans off.
You won't go wrong on that one if it's as nice as it was when I sold it. I just never could get used to a double neck.
I had bought it a couple of years previous from Herb Stiener, another Forum member who is a professional.
Sorry you need to sell it Thomas. Times are hard these days.

Thomas,
I think your right that this guitar appears to have been played out in public very little. I only played it at home the couple of years that I had it, and as I recall Herb Steiner told me it had been sitting in his closet for several years without being played. I doubt if he gigged with it much if at all.
Someone needs to latch onto this one as it is way above average in condition and playability for a Fender Dual Pro in my opinion, also there were no issues with any of the electronics.
My good friend Rick Aiello told me it is always best to re-magnetize the pickups on any Fender Dual Pro. He said these magnets should be good for another 50 yrs. They are probably stronger now than when they were new.
