8 string pick up covers and 3D printers

Post by Stephen Baker »

I don’t really understand the technology behind it and I know the hardware is currently expensive but I saw something on TV the other night about 3D printers. Could this solve the Stringmaster 8 string pick up cover famine? Steve

Pickup covers

A 3-D printer with black (or any other color) monofilament ink could very easily print a pickup cover, You just need someone to write the program (or scan the object) to make the part.

For Christmas, my wife received a 3D printed pickle to hang on the tree (an old German custom). It was nade on her brother's 3D printer.

I made some 8 string covers by cutting up 6 string covers and super gluing thing them. I made blank tops from an old parts tray. Worked really well.
