What string pitch changes are you making with it and do you also use it in connection with a floor pedal changes at times? |

Hi Fred, I use my left knee vertical to lower the
B's to Bb, and also use it with A and B pedals to hit a 4 minor. Don't think I've seen you since Lexington, Ky. Larry

I drop Bs to A#. I use it in conjunction with the A pedal, the 2nd string drop lever, the 6th string drop and occasionally the AB pedal combo. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

On E9. F#'s to G. I often use it with the A & B pedals.
On C6. Raise string 4 to Bb and string 3 to D. Use it sometimes with the 6th pedal. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Hi Fred,
Long time no see. You need to come up to Terry's Woods show in Conway sometime. Like Larry and Lane mine lowers my B's to Bb. I don't use it with the pedals much because it seems to be an uncomfortable stretch. I getting so old my stretcher's about wore out.

I drop string 9 D to C# and string 10 B to A. When gripping strings 8, 9 and 10 it gives you a resolve from a 7th to a major. Works pretty nice ending a slow song. I would probably use it to drop my B's to Bb if I didn't already have it someplace else. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Lowers B's to Bb (A#). Used by itself to change suspended to dominant 7. Mostly used with AB for minor, AB+E lower for diminished, A for augmented. |

B>A#
--- 7/9 chord two frets down from open
--- minor chord w/ AB down
--- minor 6 w/ AB down + string 7 (as opposed to minor 7 chord one fret up, open, E lowered)
--- dim 7 w/ AB down and E lower
--- C note w/ A pedal in melodic line
I use this lever a lot and keep it adjusted just a hair off of my leg with a short throw. |
