Question: Were all colors available for all models of Emmons? Including the student model?

I know that most of the student models are in rosewood mica. At least, the majority of the ones I've seen are. However, I have seen a few that are in other colors, too. For example, I have one that is in white "tidewater" mica and I've seen pics of others in non-rosewood colors.

Thanks.

Good question, Eric. I have been a fan of these little buggers for quite some time. They look kind of wimpy, but they sound awesome. And you don't need a crane to lift one.

I did a fairly thorough Forum search a while back, and printed photos of every one I could find. It would seem the rosewood 'mica GS-10s are the most common. There is also a finish that looks like the Bakelite kitchenware my grandma used to have. I have jokingly referred to it as "bowling ball." It's sort of a mottled brownish similar to the later Sho-Bud Mavs. Seems to be nearly as common as the rosewood. There are some gold lacquer models similar to the gold-top Les Pauls, and some 3-color lacquer sunbursts similar to the old Fenders. I have seen one that is a clear lacquered blonde maple, but it may have been refinished. And there are some covered in white 'mica, as you attest.

Hopefully someone in the know, such as Mike Cass, will chime in here and set the record straight.
