steel players for ray price...

anyone out there know who played steel with ray price, particularly on 'release me', 'i can't go home like this' and 'heart over mind'?

Kevin, my good friend, the late Don Helms, played with Ray Price on "Release Me," and "I'll Be There," but I'm not sure about the other 2 songs you mention.

it would be interesting to see a list of the many steel players who have worked for ray.
we know quite a few forum members have.

On the Radio this morning

I think Hank Williams Slide player played for Ray on the gig that Hank was supposed to show up for . No one new he had passed on the way to the gig. They did say his name though and I think for a bit Ray picked right up with Hanks band. I could be way wrong but that's what I thought I heard on the radio this morning.
