General opinion. Found one for 500.00. Is it worth it?

Are you a beginner wanting a first guitar, or is this just something you are thinking of picking up in addition to another guitar? I ask because that might affect what is worth for what purpose. It's probably not a good starter guitar due to the limitations of (I think) 3 pedals and 1 knee lever. I'm speaking from personal experience as I bought a 3/1 after being advised not to, and have had to search out older books, etc. to find something that was applicable to that setup.
GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal.

I wouldn't think it's worth more than about $350, because it's cheaply made. (Even the Red Barons and Mavericks are better than one of those.)

I can play a 3+1 all day, but a lotta players run out of ideas when you limit their levers and pedals.

I had one at first. It's not even worth calling a steel guitar. Worse than junk.

A local music store had a Little Buddy on consignment once. The store owners knew nothing about it, and I had the misfortune of trying to tune it up for them. I'm convinced that it couldn't be done, and I advised the store owners to sell it to no one. (The owner was originally asking $900 for it. I told the owners that in my opinion it wasn't worth anything at all. It was complete junk.)
I understand the allure of cheaper steel guitars to beginning students, but junk like the Little Buddy will only serve to frustrate and dissuade students from continuing.

That's my opinion, any way.

For archive purposes I would also like to voice my opinion that these are junk and wouldn't even be a good non pedal guitar.

It's been such a long time. It was my first steel. Someone correct me on this. Didn't it have fishing cord instead of rods underneath? Mine had fishing cord underneath for some reason or other but it's vague in my memory. It should be against the law to sell or even give one away. I didn't know there were any left.

I bought a Little Buddy for $400.00 I also have a Red Baron. Suprizingly the Little Buddy has a pro under carriage. Nothing like the Red Baron or Maverick. These guitars were built by Freeman Cogar in Michigan.
