I have attended the Irish Steel Guitar Festival several times and I can assure you that it's a good one!

Superbly organised, superb house band, super-friendly people, nice hotel at a very reasonable rate ..... and did I mention the Guinness? :D

Less than a week to go now. We're looking forward to welcoming Jay Dee Maness to these shores.

I'm about ready to go to the airport to fly to Dublin for this event and a little bit of time off as well. I'm looking forward to it very much, as always.

Hello to all at the festival 2013

Post by David Hartley »

My sincere apologies that I can't attend this years festival.
I am really going to miss seeing you all at this event which I have attended many times in recent years.
I had to make a decision recently, I have has severe back pains which finally seems to be easing, thank god, and other family issues which have to be sorted this weekend.

I am really going to miss playing with the band in the bar also. I love it in there.

I will be thinking of you all, and the Guinness, and wishing you all have a great festival.

Yes, it was a good show.

The concert room seemed to be full whenever I looked.

Jay Dee certaily proved to be good value - especially playing with the bar band in the evening.
