Another Strap Question
So I have the Planet Waves Quick-release and want to use it with a regular guitar strap for my Reso ... I am new to playing standing ... for stability, comfort and playing freedom, is it better to use a narrow or wider strap? I am thinking about the right arm technique for wraping the strap and not sure whether wide or narrow is better ... thanks.

I use a strap that's about two inches wide. I don't know how that compares with a "standard" or "wide" guitar strap.

A lot of straps are wide at the shoulder then have a thinner tailpiece where the adjustment happens. I find that's thin enough to wrap my arm around. The wider shoulder part helps distribute weight better (not an issue with a reso, but important with my stand-up steel).
My reso strap is a basic leather Levy's guitar strap with the Planet Waves attachments. It's 2.5" wide at the widest part; my steel strap is 3.5", which is as wide as I can deal with, since I'm not a big guy. Both have thinner pieces at the tail end.
My reso strap is similar to this (not the one I own, but shows you what I mean):

Got a wide leather guitar strap to use with the Quick-Release ... so far so good ... comfortable and stable ... one thing: I'm about 6'2" and should have gotten an XL strap ... good news is at its max length the strap plus the Quick-Release is just right ... however, I would prefer to have a few inches of play ... I'll know next time ...
