strange old steel

I just came across a really strange steel in Bulls, NZ. A friend said he saw a "pedal steel" in the shop, but, alas, the pedal was a volume pedal.
I would love to post a picture of it, but I gather that to do so I need a web site to refgerence to, and I don't have one set up.
If anyone would be willing to post the pics, I can e-mail them the pics.
The steel is a double 7. Looks home made. They are asking $1500 for it which is about $1499 more than I'd be willing to pay. It is NOT inh great shape.
If anyone can post the pics, e-mail me privately and I'll send the pics along.

Winnie, you don't need a web site to post pictures. Take the photo to a good photo shop or graphic arts shop. They will put it as a jpg file on CD or floppy disk (they will put the whole roll on the CD when they first process it if you want). You can then paste the jpg file directly into a Forum post. You can also create your own jpg files in your own computer if you have a scanner.

Wrong, Dave. You can not upload pictures directly to the SGF.

I stand corrected.

I guess the Forum doesn't want to handle the jpg image files, which can be quite large, so you are required to have the image hosted somewhere else and you post the link on the Forum. So Winnie, you are correct that you will need to upload your image to some host. However, a lot of ISPs these days give you a free webb page that could be used for that purpose. The other "pedal" must be so you can hold it down with your foot and keep it from tipping over!

Winnie, did you get to hear this instrument? It looks as if the key head end was patterned somewhat after the Gibson Consoles. Interesting, but $1500? I don't think so!

They need to rotate it around. The guitar is backwards to the "feet." Jim, I think your hat is on backwards, too. They don't wear'em like that anymore.

By the way, that was a fun party for Winnie a few weeks back. Lots of interesting folks, and I got to meet and chat with David Bromberg, who's an old crony of Winnie's and recently moved to Wilmington, Delaware.

OT, but David Bromberg is about THE BEST showman I've ever seen. He was at Wolf Trap amp one year in the 70s and put on an ELECTRIFYING performance.

Totally posessed when onstage. Dunno where he could have gotten tht kind of energy.

He had a doxen axes onstage and played everything he did flawlessly. I'm gonna do some digging. I understand he was/is quite an instrument collector and builder.

Possibly a couple of his CDs if available and my Franklin Courses will be the only one's I've actually boughtin years besides the BBC Hendrix set...

I checked and see from his website that he's playing the Birchmere in Alex VA May 24-5.

I'd sure go if I was on that end of the country
