Did Jimmy use a 7/8" bar? I saw a picture from his later years and it looked small, like 3/4"
I think that if I can get the same sized bar as Jimmy then I'll finally sound exactly like him

Jimmy Day used the patented Jimmy Day Bar, available online at JimmyDayBar.com for the amazingly low price of $75.95...
Seriously, I love Jimmy Day's playing and touch and sound and all of it, and have been really listening to the nuances of his style. My ZB guitar, ShoBud pedal and BJS bar have very little to do with the sound, believe me. I played a friend's Emmons last night and it still sounded like Jimmy (even with my buddy's Emmons guitar, Emmons pedal and stainless Emmons bar).
Listen to HOW he plays! I'm getting closer and having fun doing it. Better to spend the money for a new bar getting a clean copy of his Steel and Strings LP!
