1977(?) Serial S-157791
Plays well, has new strings both necks.
Has one front leg that is non-adjustable (Adjustment collar rivited in place). New leg tips.
Has had several parts replaced, and been adjusted. Works right.
No half stop on the RKR. Set to "D" currently. Emmons setup. (Copedent below)
George L PF-1 pickup on E9 neck, stock pickup on C6.
Emmons setup. Sounds great!
Hard case with added wheels and end handle, is probaby 8 ouf 10 condition.
New leg bag.

Asking price is $1200 plus shipping, (NOTE: HEAVY!)
prefer pickup or meet within 100 miles of Chattanooga or Knoxville TN.

Will consider trade for S-10 with 3 & 4 Emmons setup, E's on lefts, and hard case.

High Scott, this guitar looks an awful lot like Gardner Cook's old Marlen; but I'm sure his was much older; perhaps the late 60's. Gardner is from Sharpsburg Maryland just north of where the Civil War Battle of Antietam was fought. He was a very busy player from the 50's through the early 90's. His Marlen had a great sound and one of the songs he did that got a lot of requests for was "Maiden's Prayer". The tone on his Marlen was about halfway between the tone of an Emmons, and those early Sho-Bud's. Anyone getting this guitar will be pleased I'm sure; great price too.

Hey Gary, not to hijack Scotts post, but are you from the Hagerstown area? Gardner is still playing twice a month at the Williamsport legion. I use to go and hear him every chance I got a weekend off and him and Quention Peer were the reason I got into pedal steel.
