This was a Spade Cooley arrangement. Not sure of which year this was recorded. It is not the first original version from 1945. I believe the Steel Guitarist was Joaquin Murphy with some new licks and phrasing. The only other possibility is that this was the Spade Cooley Band after it was taken over by Tex Williams and became the Western Caravan

Yes, this is really a tough one, I admit. The track was recorded in the 1980s and is by Windy Wood & The Sons Of Western Swing", the steel player is Vic Ashmead. I have three albums by this band, they all are great Western Swing albums in the Bob Wills and Spade Cooley tradition.
