Today was Lloyd Maines Day in Austin Texas... There was a great concert to honor him with Dixie Chicks, Joe Ely, Terry Allen, Bruce Robinson and many more... Lloyd has help many big artist start their careers teaching them the ropes in the studio and on stage.... Well deserved, congratulations Lloyd...

Great to hear Wally! Lloyd can pretty much do it all - he has music drippin' out of his pores, and alluding to what Storm wrote, the one time I got to meet and hang with him for a bit, a real nice fellow.

Man, what can be said more, what a great player, producer, father. Those Maines Bros. albums and Joe Ely albums are dear to my heart.

He has done great work with Don Walter, Wayne Hancock, and countless others and that sound on Honky Tonk Masqurade with Ely is just the best!

Sorry to fawn so much but he really is a true original.

Search for the story of his encounter with Jimmy Page, very funny .

With total respect and admiration, Craig Stock
Regards, Craig

Well it's about time! Great guy, awesome talent. I cringe every time someone wants some 'Lloyd licks'! Definately an oh crap moment! Congrats to Llloyd. So long over due!

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
