Question about my YouTube video's

Post by Bill Ferguson »

I am not really sure how to ask this, but here goes.

It seems like I am getting a lot of hits on YouTube and a lot of views on the forum, but very few people are making comments on YouTube and also few on the forum.

Am I "dating" steel guitar by posting these video's?
I know most are not the sound you currently hear on the radio, but correct me if I am wrong: Most of the posting I see on the forum (and comments I hear at steel guitar shows and from stars like Vince Gill, Alan Jackson and others, is that we like the traditional country music the best.

I guess I am being senile, but I do want you all to enjoy these as much as I enjoy sharing these video's.

I just want to hear from you letting me know the work and time involved is worth the effort.

So let's do a poll.

Keep 'em coming, Bill! I especially appreciate the Larry Sasser videos...I used to watch Nashville Now every nite just to see Wimpy and the Nashville Now band. Unfortunately apart from what you have posted there don't seem to be many other videos of him.

I don't often comment and I will forget to press the 'like' button. I will be more conscious of this when viewing truly exceptional source material, such that you provide, Bill. Top notch stuff!

I always enjoy your tubbies,I don't comment because it's all good.I don't post much on the forum because those people have already made it known they don't care much for me so I keep my thoughts & comments to a minimum, just keep up the good work.

Bill, I hope you will continue posting them. I've enjoyed all of them but I have to agree with Jeff Garden; I too, especially like the Larry Sasser video's. I also watched Nashville Now and also attended a live broadcast of the show. Hopefully you have a lot more of Wimpy's playing. He's such a great player and has a fun personality. You can tell he's having a blast. Thanks!!!!!! Mike

Bill -
you have irreplaceable footage of the biggest songs as performed live by many of the best steel players that ever sat or stood behind a Steel Guitar.

I voted "more" - can wait to see who the next might be.

Best Regards

Ron

Of course I like the clips what you add on YouTube Bill. In my opinion all people like what you put on YouTube. But indeed maybe we must put comments on these clips. Keep on posting Bill and thanks again for your time and your love for this instrument.

Be safe,

Marcel
