Telonics Type 427PW 12- string Pickup Released

Post by Dave Beaty »

The 12 string version of the Type 409PW 10-string pickup has been released by Telonics, it has been assigned the designation Type 427PW.
We have received numerous requests for information about this pickup; it has now passed all our tests and is available on special order.

Perhaps the most convenient place to hear it is on the Greg Leisz's Williams guitar, which he is currently playing on tour with Eric Clapton.
Greg uses a Telonics FP-100 Pedal with his 427PW pickup.

There are quite a few references/links on the Forum and YouTube to these performances, here are a couple:

Here are a few pictures from the first concert in this series, the downtown coliseum/arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

The young lady in this last picture with Greg is Tricia Frank, along with her husband Konrad. You may have spoken with Tricia in the past, she has been with Telonics “about“ 20 years. (Who’s counting, she started with the company when she was 8 years old....).

Amp

Yes, I'm sure you're right Paddy, you can see it behind him in the frame where he is playing his electric mandolin. It's really a nice looking amp indeed.
