Rebuilt...5 grand...hmmm. Image That's a shame. If it were in anywhere near that good shape, and all original, it would bring 3 times that! As it is , he'll probably be doing good to get 7-8 grand.

I think "lovingly restored" is a more accurate description of what was done to this guitar. I'd rather see an instrument like this restored to playable condition than a "valuable" museum piece that doesn't work.

Instruments were made to be played!

Oh yes, b0b you spaeketh the truth. Pretty is wondeful, "all original" is nice for collectors, But lovingly restored and totally playable is a joy. And what an instrument was made for... make music.
