What do you want to bet that the 2 bidders are related to the seller?

I bought a super clean raised neck/Gumby Maverick a couple weeks ago ($550) with the intention of putting a non-pedal C6 tuning on it. I did so and played it tonight on a 4 hour gig with Alvin Crow (I play non-pedal with Alvin). It performed flawlessly. These older Mavs are GREAT non-pedal guitars! Exclamation

Herb I am glad to see you are enjoying the Maverick. That Maverick had been in a closet since the early 80s until I bought it. After cleaning it up it turned out really nice.

I have a soft spot for Mavericks. Back in the '70s I played one for two years in a western swing band in NY. I think they're pretty cool little guitars as long as you don't expect more of them than they can deliver.

This one on eBay might be a transition model since it has no vinyl skin. It's in nice condition but I agree it's way overpriced!

Herb, if you ever want to sell the pedals and rods from your Mav, keep me in mind! I have a gumby Mav that is missing the pedal rack. I'd love to fix it up.

I don't think this is a transition model, but a vinyl covered one where the vinyl has been removed. They had nice wood under the vinyl.
