yes, the Gingko is one of the olderst trees in Europe. I told the luthier from WBS who built this cabinet to use his logo in the necks from the steelguitar.
Johan
Johan, you are a great player, and that steel is a knock out. Thanks to this forum, I've learned that steel guitar is world wide. I absolutely had no clue that there were steel guitars in Europe, let alone people who knew how to play them. I sat and adjusted and played my Emmons LeGrande II last night, instead of watching the Super Bowl. Enjoy that steel man!
Congrats Johan,
Great lookin Steel! I've always been facinated with the WBS Guitars. They look to be built with quality craftsmanship, and from the videos i've seen they seem to sound superb! I don't know of anyone here in the U.S. playing a WBS, but I'd sure like to try one out sometime.
I love this guitar Johan, more beautiful than the one you bought from me and also with the right name on the front!
I am looking foreward to seeing (and hearing) it up close
Hi Rick,
we decided making the distances from necks to aprons equal, it gives this nice Eye-twister. Yes,they go towards the roller from each other. It ain't notice while playing and has no influence on the tuning (not what I can hear )
This guitar playes like a dream and the sound is very tight. I guess the brass changer makes the sound softer than the alu-material und most guitars..
I love it!
This guitar is built by WBS (Wolfgang Bednarz and his team)
WBS= Wolfgang Bednarz Steelguitars it is a full-time pro steelguitarcompany in Rechtenbach (near Frankfurt) Germany. If you are the type that's in the market for high german quality like Mercedes-Benz or Porsche, maybe this could be something for you http://wbssteelguitars.com/homeus.html
regards, Johan
