Anybody know What This Is ?
Found this in the case of an old fender lap steel that I bought. Is this a Dobro bar or what ? Thanks.

Not really. They were normally considered "student" bars as far as I can tell.
I see lots of these offered on eBay, for what it's worth. Unless you're a bar collector, it's only of historical interest.

I love "Flatties" ... I used one at about half of my HSGA / Joliet visits ...
Very fun ... I coat the playing surface with an acrylic coating ... Very quiet
I remember Duke Ching saying ... "You know they make round bars now"
Here's Roland Peachy doing some serious damage in 1938 with one ...

Peachy. . .
Wow! My first exposure to Roland Peachy, and his name could not be more fitting. Absolutely love it. Rick, got any more ready examples of Mr. Peachy's playing?
Thanks a lot,
Mark

Flat bar question
Thanks for sharing your collection of cool stuff.
I see you have a "flattie" like mine. It has a diamond with a "B" in the middle. Do you know what the "B" stood for ?
Thanks........
