I'll be there. Craig-do you want me to talk to Uncle Sam for you?
Hey, mister, how do you pedal that thing anyway?

Buck Reid is also performing. A player of extraordinary talent. He tells me he is looking forward to it, and I am looking forward to seeing him again.

Tommy White, Mike Johnston, Steve Palousek, Doug Jernigan, Paul Franklin and now Buck Reid. Wow - that is one line up. :D

Hi Ken yes mate thats something pretty special - I just booked my tickets so it's the first time in 2 years for me, what with the earthquake in 2011, and touring in 2012 I have really missed the Dallas show. it will be nice to catch up with you again mate.
I really do love Bucks playing and he's a top bloke.

Ted: looking forward to see you and the Irish lads as well - I think Commonwealth Corner might be the "hub" at the bar as usual :D

It will be good to see you too Paddy. I am picking up a Show Pro D10 that Jeff is building for me. Some of the Jocks aren't going this year which is a shame. I hope they change their mind.

Ivan P was there last year from New Zealand, and he made me laugh with his views on a certain famous name old school steel player. He doesn't hold back on his views.

haha yes Ivan is fairly blunt in his views :D usually close to the bone though !! Talked to him last night and he's not sure if he can make it this year - I'm trying to talk Billy M into coming over before he freezes to death in Glasgow !!
I look forward to checking out your new Axe mate, I got to try out Mike Johnsons ShowPro last time I was there in 2010 -- wonderful guitar it was.

I'm not sure you'll get too much out of my guitar Paddy - pedals and levers are set up with Day arrangement.

Do try and get Billy M to come over. We want him to repeat his trick of doing a 360 degree spin on the interstate.

Is Steve Palousek still scheduled to perform? Does anyone know if rooms are still available? I have a 4 day weekend those dates and have checked into flights. Would love to come down but will need a room at the venue.

Jack I think the SHeraton is booked out, so I am at the Red Roof just across the bridge - they usually have plenty of spare rooms - Dennys is right next door as well :D

Red Roof within walking distance or some other way of getting to the show? Exactly what area of Dallas are we talking about?

Jack
The Red Roof Inn is 5 minutes walk away from the Sherraton. They still have some rooms available, but it is quite well subscribed at the moment. The hotel is in Irving.

I had not planned on the show this year. We missed last year due to the house fire and rebuilding. I have retired from amp repair and amp building as of the end of 2012. I guess losing a home and all that went with rebuilding it changed my priorities a lot.

Well, as it goes Jim Evans has asked me to join himself and others to help in the instruction for the Telonics Seminar again this year. I have gratefully accepted and will be there. I look forward to another be apart of another great Texas Steel Guitar Show!
