NASHVILLE STEELER Don Davis Story as told to Ruth White

Post by Tommy Minniear »

A brand new, very interesting and informative book has been released and is available at www.amazon.com and www.schifferbk@aol.com This book was written and compiled by "Source" award winning writer: Ruth White. Ruth has written several books and is a professional and accomplished Nashville historian and writer. Also, having worked on "Music Row" for many years, she is also the wife of Nashville steel guitarist Howard White.
This book is a "must read" for anyone intersted in steel guitar and the development of the Nashville music scene!

A few years ago, amongst my very first posts were plea's for information on Howard White, it was his early works on lap steel that inspired me to start. Such is the wonder of our community that I had the great privilege of meeting Ruth last year at the home of my then new found friend Billy Robinson. A great lady who obviously understood my love of her late husbands work. Billy I had met thanks to the efforts of the late Rick Alexander in helping support the Dallas showcases. The book is about to be ordered, thanks Tommy for heads up.

In checking into the extremely high price for the book at Barnes and Nobel, it was discovered that there network of individual sellers can list the book for whatever price they choose. The publisher nor author has any control over this. Therefore, it is advised that you order the book from www.amazon.com or www.schifferbk.com
