Been playing E9 for several years now. Just bought a vintage "Bud" double neck and I'm looking forward to giving C6th a "TRY"!! Can someone (or everyone) recommend a book/CD/course that will give me a good start (or a good finish if my mind goes on overload). Any help is appreciated!!

Jim, I also am a beginner on C6 (and a novice on E9), and have recently had the Emmons course recommended. I thought I would point out some free stuff on the net as well - not a substitute for a good course, but as a compliment:

Both have lots of tab for songs with both a sample track and sometimes a backing track.
The first thing I learned was Greg's version of "King Of The Road"...not too difficult, and only a couple of pedals.

Pedal steel, lap steel, resonator, blues harp - why suck at just one instrument when you can do so on many?
