Remington Signature S8 Console Lap Steel Guitar ============

Post by Josh Cho »

Hi all,

This highly versatile and powerful Remington Signature 8 console/lap steel guitar is about 4 years old. I'm the second owner and it features a Fender Stringmaster type finish in what Remington calls "cornsilk". A George L pickup, covered in a matching color, gets your sound out to the amps.

Since this is legendary steel guitarist Herb Remington's signature model you can bet that every appointment and detail have been finely chosen to be the best!

There are absolutely no issues whatsoever with this guitar, everything works and it's truly a PRO instrument. I've only had to replace the volume pot last year.

Comes with what you see in the pics, there is some wear on the finish as seen in the pics, and the instrument has been gigged with but not abused in any way. Fully operational in all respects. Legs and case are not included, purchasing guitar only, which can be played as a lap steel or legs can be purchased relatively inexpensively from forum members.

Here's the sound of this very guitar in a studio recorded format (via Youtube):

Here's the guitar being played extensively in this live Youtube vid with my band:

Selling to make room for other newly acquired equipment.

The guitar alone is $750 plus $50 towards shipping/insurance (brand new retail is $1100+).

Fast turnaround on business days. The guitar will come shipped to you via Ground, securely packaged and safe for transit, with insurance.

Shipping is to lower 48 CONUS

Contact if you're interested, serious only no trades. Thanks for looking!

FYI: I meant to put this info in the OP--

A brand new Signature S8 is priced at $1295 without case or legs, shipping extra, direct from Remington.

This one here selling for fraction of new price, plus super quick turn around time gets to you ASAP.

All reasonable offers considered.

pic uploads

Post by Josh Cho »

Had some questions about the metal parts so I've uploaded some super close-ups from my iPhone

The metal chrome over the bridge is flawless, it was like trying to take a picture of a mirror, very difficult, but you can see it's smooth as glass

Those tuners are GOTOH and the metal struts holding the tuners have some dirt and scratches and light pitting

I was asked why I'm not selling the legs or case: Reason: I can use these for other lap steel guitars, and if guys are on a budget it's a way to save money, esp. on the shipping charges

Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks,
Josh
