Anyone know the year of this ShoBud LDG? (One pedal was broken in shipment, but has been replaced.) The ser.# is 18115, though I hear that doesn't help much in determining the age.

Fred if you post the serial number, there are some folks on here fairly well-versed in the dating of Sho-Buds. Or if you search for it, there is a thread combining known Sho-Bud serial numbers and their manufacture dates, so you can see where yours fits.
Given that it doesn't have the Gumby headstock, my limited knowledge dictates that your guitar must be roughly 1980 or later, though I may stand corrected in the face of more accurate information. _________________ Updates from the road on Twitter

That guitar is from the Super Pro era, which started in '78 or '79 and continued until Sho-Bud went out of business. |

Fred,
My records show closest to 1982.

Thanks all for the replys. Looks like Gene has the winning numbers. It's a beautiful guitar and sounds like a ShoBud should. Love this Forum! _________________ The difference between a musician and a savings bond is eventually the bond will mature and earn money. |
