Great to see a high tech company like Carter use highly figured birdseye maple in the construction of their steadily improving quality products. I feel this move will be a great jump forward in the quality of an already fine instrument.
We all can profit by steel guitar companys building good product and this company has always tried to improve and get better. This move to offer a guitar with great , highly figured maple is just another leap forward. Great move !
Lets all let them know how we feel about this quality move. "good products can only be manufactured from good materials" (Ryan aircraft co. while building "The Spirt of St. Louis" 1927)

The Carter does look grand.
I saw a tv program about the trees that they are bring up and thought that it would be just a matter of time before builders started using them for pedal steels. The wood options maybe new to builders, but maybe they would be worth the investment.I have always liked the way swamp ash looks so who knows what these tree experts will bring up from the deep next.Maybe you ought to build a Seymour out of some of their wood.
[This message was edited by Andy Alford on 26 October 2002 at 06:59 PM.]

[This message was edited by Andy Alford on 26 October 2002 at 07:01 PM.]

I'm really excited about this announcement by Carter!!!
Looks like my dream guitar. I hope it is available with the wood neck inserts. There is TOO MUCH "bite" in our modern day guitars for my liking. People have gone overboard trying to emulate the P/P sound.
Wood is Warm!
