Latest news about the Hawaiian Music Festival presented by the HSGA at the Holiday Inn in Joliet IL on Oct 4-6, 2012. Besides the performances on the main stage every day and the various workshops on Saturday,--we now have a few items that are "one of a kind" Jerry Byrd items that his widow,-Kaleo,-
has provided. These items will be auctioned off or sold outright depending on the interest.
Send me your registrations as soon as possible. Go to www.hsga.org for forms.

You're absolutely correct, Ron. And there's still time to get your registrations in to me.
Don't pay any attention to the Sept 1 deadline and if you do run out of time to send it,--come to the Festival and 2-3 beautiful ladies will register you on the spot. If you're a player,- we can probably arrange a spot on the daily program, too.
Festival starts Oct 4 thru Oct 6, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Joliet IL.
See you all there.

Rick,
The sliders are ready for you. Everyone else,- you
still have time to get to Joliet for the Hawaiian Music Festival. You will have a nice time and get to hear lots of music, see old friends and meet new friends. Show up any day (Oct 4, 5 or 6) and you
will always be welcome. Check out our CD sales, raffles, instrument sales, sheet music sales etc.
Several workshops on Saturday.
See you all there. Still not too late

You're probably almost 100% correct, Gene.
I haven't heard of any steel in Maui except for maybe Henry Allen. Anyone coming to Joliet during our Hawaiian Music Festival will hear all kinds of Hawaiian music performed by amateurs and professionals. Dancers, too. There is still time to
get here. Wally

I may be attending this year for the first time. The workshops look great, do the people bring an Instrument to play-along in the Hawiian guitar and ukelele workshops, or just pencil and paper to take notes?
Also, is there going to be a list of performers posted for Sat? I would be comming with two "listeners" and need to make sure they will have something to enjoy as well.
Sorry for the dumb questions, but I've never been there before and I just need to know.

Sorry to say that the 2012 Hawaiian Music Festival sponsored by the HSGA is over for another year. Anyone who did not attend missed a great time. But we intend to do it again next year and plan to add more good things. In the meantime,- you can attend our Honolulu convention in May 2013. Check our website at www.hsga.orgfor details coming up soon. Join HSGA for newsletters, hotel discounts and many other benefits.
Mahalo,
Wally
