Also... Gotta add that this year we are having a dance Saturday night from 7:30 'till 10:30. Great band lined up for it playing traditional country and western swing. Keyboard, fiddle, saz, and of course multiple steels backed up by a "killer" rhythm section. Add to that some of the top singers in the Midwest. Don't miss it!

Larry.... I have been swamped here at my business with 13-hour plus days but we should have the player schedule out in the next day or two. The guys are working on it as we speak. Thanks for asking.

Yeah.... It's gonna be a great show and dance. We've got twice the space as last year and we're having the dance Saturday night to boot.

Interest is really gaining momentum so were looking forward to 2 days of great steel guitar music.

Tune into KFKF Country Radio at 94.1 FM if you are in the greater Kansas City listing area. Our ads will run on their Vintage Country Music show tomorrow and next Saturday.

This will be a bigger and better show yet. Front door unloading and loading and plenty of space. Looking forward to seeing everyone there, Ron Bailey.

I am not listed . . .
Jerry, there was an error in the schedule listing above:
You're on Saturday morning where my name (by mistake) is.
We'll get it corrected in the listing above.
(I'm playing later on, sometime)

Heartland Steel Fest Dance

Post by Roger Hurst »

Saturday nights dance from 6:30 to 10:30 is going to be a real event. We have put together a special band featuring Davey Stair on drums, Russ Wever on bass, Glen Richards on sax, Angie Larson on keyboard and vocals, Travis Inman on fiddle, R. D. Owsley and Frank Warmbrodt on vocals along with a few other guest vocalists. Add to that, Austin Stewart on steel guitar, Terry Bethel from Mel Tillis' band plus some other top steel players from our show.

A cash bar will be available. It is gonna be a heck of an evening for only $10.00 a person.

We are leaving this evening as soon as Austin gets off of work. Be there around midnight. Got my pies baked.

Russ: Austin will be playing Sunday round 1:30pm. We asked Roger to change it so we could leave to get Austin back to work for Monday. See you all soon.

Good luck with the show this year. I would love to be there but picking commitments here in Florida prevent coming back to KC this year (or at least at this time).
