Fun little toe tapper called Wally Whirled...

Post by Wally Moyers »

This is a fun little song recorded on the CD " In Wise Hands" by artist Don Wise in 1997. It was written as a theme song in 1982 for a weekly country stage show in Lubbock, Texas by myself and Don Wise. Players on this recording are Don Wise on Sax, Wally Moyers on Pedal Steel, Steve Williams on Guitar, Steve Meador on Drums, Nick Carlton on Keys. http://soundcloud.com/pedalrocker/wally-whirled

Wally, nice banjo rolls and forward rolls there! I like the chorus you used there too!

Thanks Quentin, I was just going through some old recordings and found it. It's not really chorus, I just doubled my parts to make it sound like a chorus. I did that a lot in those days...

Hey Ken, I appreciate it... All those guys were playing with Delbert McClinton at the time. Don Wise and Steve Williams have been good friends since the late 70s.. Steve plays great steel as well as guitar.. I can't remember the trumpet and bass players names but both great players too...
