Lyle, it is the ETS pedal steel. Stands for East Texas Steel if I am correct. Awesome guitar and very light. It has great tone and built well. Plus it has a triple raise and lower so it can do any copedent you need.

Lyle, the web site says it is actually 24 lbs, the guitar itself and in the case web site says 42 lbs. The one I saw had a lighter weight gig bag type case that made it 29 lbs.

Don't forget Justice guitars. I think the new light guitar comes in at 26 lbs. It looks and sounds great.

Thanks Bill, our Pro Lite model has triple raise, triple lower, split tuning, and comes standard with a BL 705 PU. just to mention a few features.

One thing you may possibly consider is that the ETS is a S10, and the Justice steel is a SD10 with the arm rest pad. Some people have a preference. Some of the lightweight steel makers who make the S10 is ETS, Legend, Stage One. Some of those who make the SD10 is Justice, Simmons, Wilcox. Jackson makes both.

Fred thanks for bringing that to Lyle's attention.
Actually the Pro Lite is not a SD-10, as its not a double frame, at only 9 & 1/2 inches with no step down, verses our SD-10 and D-10 at 11 inches.
I guess you could call it a S-10 with a 3 inch pad.

Jack a 8 X 5 Justice D-10 weights 64 lbs in the case, boxed up to ship.
The case weights about 19 lbs. and the box maybe 2 lbs.
So, free standing I'd say 43 to 44 lbs.

I played both in Dallas, along with durn near every other S10 & SD10 guitar at the show. After playing an Emmons D10 PP for 30 years I was looking for a high quality Steel Guitar that wasn't so cumbersome to haul around and set up. I played the ETS for maybe 3 minutes and never went back. I don't discount the possibility that the guitar I played was poorly set up but it just didn't speak to me. I ended up buying a Justice Pro Lite, it's calling my name from across the room, I gotta go............

Don't Forget the Stage One Guitars!!! Also Zum and Stage One have teamed up once again and are fixing to release a monster little Guitar. I believe Randy Beavers is already using one on Fly Dates with Leann Womack !! I dont know the details yet but give ole Doug a shout or Bruce over at Zum steel guitars and get some info i bet you will be pleased to see what they have coming. a great price and quality by a reputable company in the same case. dougs email is :

Jackson builds a BlackJack Custom model that weighs only twenty-four or twenty-five pounds. After playin' a GFI Ultra D-10 for six years, I decided it was time for a new steel. I thought about one of those big Jackson Madison '63 models, but then thought about the BlackJack and when I went to the Jackson Steel Guitar Company to see what kinds of Jackson Steels they had, the first steel I sat behind was a BlackJack Custom, I just loved everything about it and I'm proud to say it's in my house now, here in my bedroom. It's a very light guitar that can be played anywhere-at the house or onstage somewhere. I gave her a nickname, she is called "Black Diamond".
