I agree it's not Jim's best work, but as a songwriter he's as good as it gets.Jon A. It's fascinating to me how the director couldn't find the lap steel during his solos, even though everyone else in the band is looking directly at Greg. This is one of the reasons why I've started standing when I play.

I just found the album, "Legends of the Incredible Lap Steel Guitar" from 2003.

It's a very good overview of contemporary lap steel playing, featuring in particular one of my favorite Greg Leisz songs "Santo's Dream".
