Iowa musician looking for work (lap steel, guitar, mando)

Post by Seth Owen »

Musician located in SE Iowa but willing to travel looking for paying work - live or in studio. Proficient in several styles, have own equipment, transportation, etc.

Lap Steel: Fender Dual Professional 6. Don Helms (Hank Williams, Sr.) is my main man. If the song/style/boss wants it, I can also incorporate single and double behind-the-bar bends to get some pedal-like sounds. My personal philosophy is that "less is more" and "simplest is best," but first and foremost - serve the song.

Telecaster: 1st year Japanese. My go-to for everything from old-school twang and country blues to Travis picking, hybrid and chicken pickin'.

Also have a custom Strat and flying V for classic rock and hard rock as well.

I'm looking for work, so fees are negotiable. Absolutely ZERO ego issues, NO substance issues, easy to get along with, etc. When I play I'm there to serve the song, and when I'm tracking for someone I'm there 'til YOU (the aforementioned boss) are happy.

If you think you may be interested, PM me here on the Forum and we can talk from there. I look forward to hearing from you!

I hadn't thought of that. I don't actively play gospel music, though I'm pretty sure I could.
