I've been assigned the task of adding two knee levers to my buddy's Sho-Bud Professional D-10. It's got 8 floors and 2 knees (left knee left and right knee left) now and he needs the two 'moving right' levers (right knee moving right and left knee moving right). The guitar is a 'rack and barrel' (or 'birdcage') type of mechanism so space is limited between the existing racks. I'm wondering where I might find some parts to do this. I think I need the 70's type of welded parts with the 2 hole puller-fingers and aluminum/brass discs. Any lead on where to get these parts or any experience with someone adding these levers to this type of steel would be appreciated.

Bob,
Bobbe Seymour at www.steelguitar.net will be the man you want to talk to. He'll no doubt have the parts, and if you want to ship the guitar to him, he's most definitely got the know how to do the job.
Another source would be Duane Marrs, also of Nashville. You can do a forum search for Duane and probably find his number, as I don't happen to know it right off.
Also, Bill Ray, of Rayline steel guitars sells Sho~Bud parts. Their web address is http://www.rlpsg.com/shobud.html
