Reece oughtta be along directly to answer the age question.

As to the pedals (and knee if you wanna add a vertical), forumites Michael Yahl (www.psgparts.com) and Jim Palenscar (I can't recall his URL) carry pedal and knee lever kits
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

It looks like it was made between 1970 or '71 and '75.

Tom....Serial number 2C1071 shows to be a double 10 which originally left the factory with 8 pedals and 2 knee levers. It was first shipped to our distributor at the time who was located in Chicago and they would have sold it to a music store.

Your guitar was born on July 27th 1973.

Thank you for owing an MSA and being a part of our ever growing family.

12 string MSA

Reece,
A good friend picked this guitar up for me and I was wondering how old it is. Serial # 1C 120. It has a weird configuration that I'm not used to, so I gutted it and am presently reworking the setup to what I'm used to. Thank you

Jerry B....Thank you for your interest in the history of your MSA. I have looked at MSA records and I can find serial number 1S120, but not 1C120. I can tell you with question, the guitar you have would be one of the oldest vintage MSA guitars.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Jerry, I'd guess your sn 1C120 goes back to late 1972, or very early in 1973. 8)

It should be a single-neck Classic, and one of the first guitars made in the "Micro" series.

Thanks guys! This thing is in great shape. I disassembled it, cleaned it and I just put it back together with a different setup. As soon as I fine tune it and get everything adjusted tonight, I'll get to hear her sing !
