Hi SGF:
I just opened another album on my website where I put some photos I took at Sierra Instruments (the company that make the Sierra pedal steel guitar and other products) on my Portland, Oregon visit on Monday, May 13, 2002.
The URL is: http://communities.msn.com/AlsPhotographs/pictures
and the album name is titled, "Mini-tour of Sierra Instruments."
I haven't completed the photo titles or descriptions yet but some people say "a picture is worth a thousand words." I'll be working on those during the week along with getting the Canby Steel Guitar Jam photos into their album.
I hope you enjoy the photos and I look forward to your feedback on them.
Have a good week.

Hi SGF:
I just finished writing up the photo titles and descriptions for my Photo Mini-tour of Sierra Instruments.
There's ten (10) photos there (I said it was a mini-tour) and I hope that you find them interesting.
If you're in the Portland, Oregon area, stop by Sierra Instruments (their address is in the Portland telephone book) and say "hello" to Tom Baker, their General Manager. I'm sure he'd like to meet you and if he's not too busy, perhaps he'll give you your own "mini-tour."
If you have any information about Bobby Dixon's early Wright Custom pedal steel guitar, I'd sure like to read about it here under this subject thread.
The URL to the album is:

Have a nice Memorial Day.
Regards,
Al Gershen

Hi Al,
Well here's the short story on the Bobby Dixon guitar. That guitar was ordered by Tom Morell, that was his guitar, his name was on the front of it, Tom traded Bobby out of a old Fender Bobby was playing, Tom wanted a new Fender, they knew very little about the Wright so wouldn't take it on trade, Bobby had his name painted on the front, here's were it gets good, that guitar sat under Bobby's x-wifes bed for some 19 years before he got it back from her, I took it in trade for the White Sierra S-12 that Bobby plays today, It was my old guitar...... So theres a little history on that old Wright Custom.
