Hi, in the Steel on the Web part of the forum there is a listing for G E Smith and David Lindley and the best I can tell is that it came from the G E Smith DVD "50 Watt Fuse". Anyone have this DVD? My question is how much of the two and half hours is the Smith/Lindey live part? Any more lap steel? The song "play it all night long" is Killer! In the promo for the dvd, which is about Smith's life they show a little of the same song. Hopeing this one is not all there is.
Thanks

Hi Dennis,
I have the DVD. The G.E. Smith/David Lindley concert's just shy of an hour long, with some great performances by Lindley. Of the 8 songs, he plays acoustic or electric steel on 7 (oud on the other one). The disc was worth it for the concert alone in my opinion--I dig it out to watch fairly often. That was a relief because the documentary wasn't all that awesome. Amazing career, but only bits & pieces of performances are shown. The documentary is short of an hour long, too, so I think whoever calculated the total running time of "150 min" rounded (way) up or hit the wrong key typing up the cover copy.

Best,
Vince

Hi Vince
Thank you very much. I'll order one tonight. An hour of Lindley live is worth the price of the dvd.
