EXCITING NEWS!----NEW PSG STRING COMPANY—CUSTOM MADE STRINGS!

Live Steel Strings is a New String Company that has designed along with the engineers strings just for the Pedal Steel Guitar!

If you have been disappointed with your current brand of strings it’s probably because they are nothing more than Stock shelf electric guitar strings. Most (if not all) common brand strings were designed for 6 string electric guitar players and not Pedal Steel Guitars. The strings have been re packaged and labeled “Steel Guitar Strings”.

Our strings are Custom Made! They are not Stock Shelf Strings!

As you know the Pedal Steel puts strings under stress that a guitar player never could. Because stock shelf guitar strings are not designed for this stress, the result is usually intonation problems, tuning problems and breakage problems.

The first thing you are going to notice with Live Steel Strings is more resistance when your right hand plucks the strings.
Live Steel Strings are not going to feel “flappy” and weak like other brands.
The core of the string is where many of the secrets lie.
Strings that have that “flappy feeling” are using an inferior core.

Another thing you may notice right away is a shorter travel distance in your knee levers.
One thing you will definitely notice after a few days is how much better your instrument stays in tune.
Simply put; a string with a wimpy core will not return as it should and that is where staying in tune is a problem.

Live Steel Strings are custom made for Pedal Steel Guitar only!

We have standard sets of E9 and C6 strings available in Nickel or Stainless BUT;

You will also have the option of personalizing your sets if you like specific gauges that are not in the standard set. You will not have to settle for the gauges that someone else has decided is a “Standard Set”. Now that’s refreshing.

When placing your order on our website or by phone simply tell us what changes you want made and it’s done!

Why should it be any other way?

No need to purchase additional strings in fear of breakage however, we do sell individual strings of any gauge.

At Live Steel Strings we also understand that when you need strings you want them now!

When placing your order during business hours Monday thru Friday from 9-5 Eastern Standard Time, we will make every effort to ship your strings SAME DAY.

We are confident you will discover that “Live Steel Strings” are the best strings you have ever put on your PSG!

Hey guys, My web guy at VBO Designs is in Jacksonville Florida and I spoken with him this morning.

He is fantastic at what he does but he is not a steel guitar player! (understatement) (Huge understatement)

I will get this resolved today.

Sid - just so you know. The email you got from me was probably the one I sent to the address of the email I got acknowledging the creation of my account and not through the contact page.

Georg Sørtun wrote:It says on the site: "Create your own string package." I sure need that if I am to try them out.

Even after having gone through the entire site I couldn't figure out how/where to choose single-strings for my package.
Click on the “Store Button”

Depending on your needs;

Choose E9 Custom Stainless (or)
E9 Custom Nickel (or)
C6 Custom Nickel (or)
C6 Custom Stainless

Now read the verbiage just below the icon of the strings.

(overview)

Hope this helps you.

Hey Sid:
Best of luck with the strings. I have about two years supply of sets and singles right now from the Emmons factory but may order some from you anyway just to try 'em out. I may order a new cover for my 21' bassboat too as I see them on your site. Very cool. I love it !!!

Sincerely,

LOL!!!! with regards to the Bassboat covers!

My Web Guru says all that stuff has something to do with google, robots and search junk.

I told him whatever. I try to let the specialist do their thing and not micro manage folks when I know they are the best at their game.

I got a kick out of your post!

Glad you got a laugh Sid. I too get a kick out of how websites can be with stuff like that.

In all seriousness the strings sound as though they may be great and I will get some to check them out. For me, the string guages are cool for both necks. And you know, I will be needing a new cover for my bassboat sooner or later too. Ha... Ha.!.!

Again, best of luck with your new company man.

i was all set to order until i saw that the shipping charges to my neck of the woods cost as much as the strings! $13+ dollars to ship a single pack of strings seems a tad steep. Why no USPS option?

John, I think you have overlooked it.
Use the shipping estimator before you check out.

It's there.
