Speakin' of winging it........................
Bobbe........Sorry to learn of your 'new challenge' but I'm confident you'll whiz right past this temporary inconvenience in a minimal amount of time.
Is the F4U Type rating still in the future or have you shelved that idea for reasons unknown to me?
How much log book time do you have in an AT-6 and/or F-51? Did you do any aerobatics with these monsters of the air?
By the way, when I visited Billy Robinson this past September....I must've ridden thro' Hendersonville at least a dozen times. WHERE is your shoppe located? I looked and looked for it but never did spy it..........

This is why I really love all you guiys so very much.
Medically speaking, we have tried everything however it looks like a back operation is in order, hope it comes out alright. This is a operation that can go either way.
I promise, "No more rodeo riding" (just kidding)
I need to get corny here and tell you all how very much I love you all. I'd hate to think what my life would have been with no steel guitar in it, and no great friends like all of you have been!
And a special thank you Bobby Lee for this forum, We all need to thank him for what he does for us all.
Ray Montee, I wish I had as much time in a "Texan" AT-6 as I have on steel, however I don't, My P-51 time is even less but I do have some interesting solo time. It's really not a hard A/C to fly, there are a few qirks that you must remember and don't forget to read the check-list. Things just happen pretty fast if you don't pay attention. Wish we could get together to discuss this.
I sold one of my A/C (Bonanza) and bought severl
late sixties muscle cars. (So those bucks are gone!)
Wishing you al the best!

Hey man,
We've talked a time or three about my old black push pull, and about the time you played here at our Rodeo with Loretta Lynn, I remember the fine steel you played so well on the show, your genuine concern for the changer problems I was having with my Emmons at the time, and your obvious love for the instrument. Keep a positive attitude and all will be well.....

I stopped in to see my friend Bobbe the other day. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to drop in and chat ( and make a purchase or two ). Bobbe is a treasure. I wish we would have met years ago.

Thank you all for being so nice and careing.
I just found out that I can't have an operation for my back, but the pain is almost unbearable however I have just been given another option,,,,, an implant that uses electricity to kill the pain, yea! So if you see me with a hand full of jumper cables don't say anything. I'm sure I'll get a charge out of that!!!!!!!
