Sorry fellas, can't make it. Gotta St. Patty's Day gig to tend to. I know y'all will have tons of fun with lots of good food, fellowship and the greatest instrument of all... steel guitar. These jams are the best around.

:D Well another jam has come and gone . It was a lovely day outside temp . in the 70's . I think we would have had a bigger crowd if it was cooler . Anyway we still had a great crowd . Had great steel playing . The backup band did great as always . I think we would have had a packed house if the weather hadn't been so good . Our crowds are getting bigger and bigger as we go along . Thanks to everyone for coming .

That would be Donnie Boggs that does the Hank stuff. I live in Middleport which is about 15 miles from Gallipolis. We had a booking so I couldnt make the jam. See what happens when May comes around!!!

'' Growing Pains ''

Post by Gary Preston »

:D I just want to brag on our steel guitar club a little if i may . :) We have come a long way since conception . We had jams here and there until we found our current building . We are having the jams at the '' Annex '' at the Church we are members of . The Church has been very very good to us to say the least . As any club grows you will have some growing pains so to speak . There will be some things that you will do that you won't do again as you learn more about what you are trying to accomplish . There will be times that someone will be upset at you about the way things are done . As i said we are learning as we go and this is common in anything you do where its in business or something like what we are trying to do . I want to give a huge thank you to everyone that helps us run the jams and set up the room and and anything that needs done . We have some great musicians that help out along with great steel players that i am very proud of . Since i am the President i call them '' My Guys '' and i will stand up for them in any way i need to . We are a big family and i love them all ! These are just a few of my thoughts but i could go on but i wont bore you any longer . God bless everyone and keep the steel guitar alive wherever you may be . G.P.
