I usually play a GFI Expo, but I wanted a extra guitar for rehersals etc. I got hold of a shobud maverick that will fit my needs.
But, I`m gonna customize it a bit.
Here are some pics of the process:
Still not finished, but its getting there ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I`m keeping the changer. Gonna set it up like this:
A pedal-raise B`s to C#
B pedal-raise G#`s to A
LKL-raise E`s to F
RKL-raise F#`s to G#
RKR-lower D# to D
I`ll have what I need with this setup. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Why would you want to cover wood like that with shelfpaper??????..Looking good...Bill
Edited to say...If you have the resources, beadblast the endplates if they don't polish out to suit you. _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers

Your clear coat finish is very well done. Very uniform. How are you doing it, and what are you using. |

Now that's a good looking Maverick. But if they had come that way from the factory, It would have costed us newbies (back in the seventies) around $6-800.00. ![Whoa!](images/smiles/icon_omg.gif) |

Now my maverick rebuild is finished
I set it up with a limited, but very useful setup.
2 pedals and 1 knee lever, I will later add one or two more knees.
I mounted a Truetone on it since the original pup was gone....
I gave it a sunburst finish and a white fretboard
Its now a great guitar number two
I intend to use for gigs where I have to travel light, for short gigs with just one or two songs it is really small and quick to set up.
Here are a few more pics of the process:
Here is how I recived it:

I was curious if you saw a tone difference with the plastic wrap removed ? but I guess you also changed pickups right so you probably can't ever answer that question. Anyways I send you a private msg too. I'm thinking of doing this with my Maverick and just leaving it the natural wood color with a clear coat over it. I'm getting my pickup re-wound by Jerry wallace too. _________________ Thomas D10 | Linkon S10 | Modified ShoBud Maverick | YouTube --> Click Here! |
