Got DERBY

Post by Rex Thomas »

Well, a long & occasionally bumpy trail finally came to an end. Took delivery of my new D-10, 8x6 red mica Derby today, thoroughly test drove it with my Nshvl 1000, NOW I can finally start getting my chops back in shape. What a TONE! JMHO; if you've played push/pulls like I have for 23 yrs., you'd really like a Derby. But even more than that is the WONDERFUL customer service offered by Charlie Stepp. He got it right the first time & went beyond my expectations.
Anyway, I finally have MY guitar, & now we're diggin' where there's taters.
Special thanx to:
Charlie & Margit Stepp. WHAT NICE FOLKS!!! Doesn't get better than this. Now I might have gotten a better deal if I'd dealt direct with "Mr. Derby." Probably 2 bags of cat chow. But I gave up as communication seemed a bit strained.
Rusty Hurse. Thanx for listening to me, Rusty. Good timing! I told Dr. Hurse where it hurts, & he found the cure.
Rick GM. Thanx for your understanding & helping me get this fire put out.
Now, it gives me great pleasure to say; "time to SHED!!!!" Happy trails!
[This message was edited by Rex Thomas on 27 April 2002 at 09:48 PM.]

[This message was edited by Rex Thomas on 27 April 2002 at 09:51 PM.]

Rex, you're gonna love it. I've had mine 3 years now, after having a p/p for 10. No regrets. Would not go back. Good to see another Derby player on here.

Rex glad I could help you on your purchase. I have been with Derby since 98 and I would not play anything else. Charlie and Margit are some of the finest people I have ever met. They are like grandpa and grandma to my son "LITTLE RUSTY" who is 19 months old.The Derby is to me the ultimate steel guitar, it has the TONE, QUALITY,and SERVICE that you will not find in any other guitar.Charlie Stepp is a perfectionist and every guitar is the finest quality that you can buy.Like I said before and will continue to say if you like a P/P with an all pull system then you will love a Derby.
